Connecting and Contributing: Highlights from SNOMED Expo

West Coast Informatics once again proudly served as a Platinum Sponsor of the 2025 SNOMED Expo, held in Antwerp, Belgium. The event brought together global leaders in healthcare terminology, interoperability, and clinical informatics to explore the latest advances in SNOMED CT implementation, authoring, analytics, and real-world deployment.

We extend our sincere thanks to SNOMED International for hosting an exceptional Expo. The sessions and conversations highlighted SNOMED CT’s expanding role in powering global interoperability, clinical decision support, and scalable health data exchange. Our team connected with colleagues from around the world to share ideas and demonstrate how TermHub and AutoMap enable organizations to manage, map, and normalize healthcare terminologies from core standards like SNOMED CT to the complex, heterogeneous datasets used in real-world applications.

Featured Presentation: Open TermHub: Deploy 25 Terminologies in 5 Minutes

We introduced Open TermHub at the SNOMED EXPO. This solution is designed to simplify terminology deployment for real-world use cases, demonstrating how quickly standards can be made available.

We presented how Open TermHub enables organizations to deploy a customized terminology server container in just five minutes. The goal is ambitious, but Open TermHub’s current capabilities, especially its content syndication approach, remove the major pain points typically associated with setting up and maintaining multiple terminologies. It significantly streamlines the deployment and ongoing management of essential health data standards.
