Content Licenses

TermHub contains content (terminologies, mapsets, and subsets) from a variety of sources. Some of this content is completely open and may be used free of any license restrictions. However, other content may be goverened by certain license restrictions that both govern how it can be used and also how much it costs to be used in different situations.

TermHub supports two kinds of restricted licenses.

  1. Some licenses have license text that must be presented and then reviewed and acknowledged by users in order to access the content - meaning that you agree to abide by the terms.

  2. Other licenses are restricted by content providers and require you to have a direct license with those organizations (such as AMA for access to CPT, or AHA for access to UB-04). In these situations, you will need to reach out and have a discussion with our team at info@terminologyhub.com . Upon demonstrating your active license, we will enable access to the underlying content so you can use it within the platform.

Within the application, there is a user experience built around license management that allows you to simply handle the “type 1” licenses described above on your own, as well as have full access to license unrestricted content. These features are spread througout the application and allow you to completely set up your projects and make your choices and handle license considerations at any point along the way. Please reach out to us if you have any specific questions about this.

For a listing of license restricted content and what is required, see our Content License Considerations page.
